Tibor Julian Horvath
Tibor Julian Horvath moved to Australia from New York City, where he performed with the famed Ballet Trockadero de Monto Carlo Company. Before that, Tibor was a soloist with the Finish National Ballet.
Born in Hungary and raised in Sweden, Tibor started his training with Royal Swedish Ballet School. At the age of 15 years, he was offered a scholarship with Hamburg Ballet School. He then returned to Sweden to complete his training with the Royal Swedish Ballet School.
During his career, he has work with some of the most prominent and renowned choreographers in the world. They include, Sylvie Guillem, Natalia Makarova, Patrice Bart, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Jorma Uotinen, Pierre Lacotte and Per Jonsson.
Tibor danced with Jene Ballet de France in Paris and the Royal Swedish Ballet Company before accepting a place with Finish National Ballet Company. He was soon promoted to Soloist roles (despite being only the tender age of 20). While with the Finish National Ballet, he performed soloist roles in Nureyev’s Nutcracker, Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, Makarova’s La Bayadere, beigmeisters Swan Lake, Jorma Uotinen Firebird Nureyev’s Sleeping Beauty and Sylvie Gulliems Giselle and William Forsythe’s second Detail.
After his contract with English National Ballet finished, Tibor decide to extend himself to other styles of dance. Further developing himself as an artist, he worked at the famous French Cabaret Lido de Paris in Paris and Casino Estoril,before returning to classical ballet company Trockadero. After several tours around many parts of the world, Tibor concluded his time with this award winning ballet company, in which he featured in soloist and principal roles,
In 2007, he settled in Australia and began his teaching and coaching career.
